McArdle Upped To PD, Power 102.1/Chico
• Results Radio LLC promotes from within elevates Julee McArdle from APD to Program Director of Top 40 KCEZ (Power 102.1)/Chico, CA. She succeeds the PD role of former OM Paul Boris, who tragically passed away on May 3.
McArdle, a.k.a. DJ Jigga Julee, will continue to do afternoons on Power 102.1 and serve as APD for Adult Hits KBQB (92.7 BOB-FM).
Results Radio SVP Dave Shakes commented, “The plan was for Paul to make this happy announcement. I’m glad he was able to let Julee know and make a toast to her in person before he passed. Julee is an exciting talent who has developed excellent programming instincts. Congratulations Julee!”
McArdle originally joined Results Radio in 2011 as midday personality on Power 102.1 and a mixer for dance mix features. After a few years away studying psychology in college, she returned to company in a variety of roles including office, promotion, and traffic-continuity. In 2021 she was named APD for Power 102.1 and 92.7 BOB-FM, and the local weekly Chico News & Review readers had previously named McArdle as “Best DJ/Air Personality” for two consecutive years.
McArdle commented, “The secret of success is to be ready when the opportunity comes. I’m so grateful that Paul taught me so much about programming over the years.
