McMaster Comes Home To NRG Media Nebraska

• NRG Media Omaha is excited to announce arrival of Matt McMaster as the new morning co-host on KOZN-AM (1620 the Zone). McMaster (pictured) will plug in alongside market veteran Gary Sharp as half of the newly minted Gary & Matt Show, weekdays from 6-10am, and on Zone TV.

McMaster is inbound from his hometown of Chicago, where he was most recently a producer for WMVP-AM (ESPN 1000). This marks McMaster’s second stint with NRG Media Nebraska — he was previously Sports and News Reporter/Anchor for News-Talk sister KLIN-AM/Lincoln, and hosted KLIN’s weekend show, Husker Hour.

McMaster is a Nebraska Broadcasters Association award winner and a proud alum of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has announced Nebraska football, basketball, baseball, and softball games, and has even made appearances on the Big Ten Network.

“We are excited to have Matt come back to Nebraska and join 1620 The Zone,” said Operations Manager Steve King. “His energy, combined with his knowledge of Nebraska sports made him the perfect person for the job.”
