Meany Named APD Of WABC/NYC

• Matthew Meany has been promoted to Assistant Program Director of Red Apple Media’s 77 WABC/New York.

Meany began his radio career at 77 WABC in 2014 as a part-time board op and quickly rose through the ranks. Just over a year ago he was named Executive Producer of the Bernie & Sid morning show and has helped pilot the show to its best ratings in years, we are told.

In making the big announcement of Meany’s upgrade, SVP of Programming Dave LaBrozzi said, “Matt’s hand in the impressive growth of the morning show ratings and his desire to grow make this appointment an ideal match for him and the station.” Meany steps into his new position immediately and will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the radio station, working alongside the Programming team.
