Melissa Chase Showcases Her TV Skills

• It’s a Richmond homecoming for radio pro Melissa Chase, who just landed a sweet TV gig back in the market where she first became a household name, thanks to stints at WRVQ (Q94) and 12 years with SummitMedia (and previously, Cox Media Group) as OM of the cluster and PD/morning personality for Hot AC WURV (103.7 Your Variety). Chase had subtly hinted at her imminent return to Richmond in a cryptic Facebook photo sporting a “Richmond” ball cap.

Local ABC affiliate WRIC-TV (ABC 8) formally announced that Chase and fellow popular local media personality Amie Carter will host an expanded version of Showcase, a lifestyle show that will air weekdays from 3 to 4pm, featuring community conversations, local flavor and everyday inspiration.

Chase most recently served as VP of Programming for Audacy Houston until late June. Carter served as the face of Showcase in its previous iteration as abbreviated segments on WRIC. Before that, she co-anchored Good Morning Richmond for six years.

“There’s truly no place like Richmond,” Chase said. “This city is where my heart is, and I’m so excited to be sharing personal stories, pop culture trends and spotlighting all the good that’s happening around us with you on Showcase.” Your good wishes can be shared with Ms. Chase at via email at MelissaChase@gmail.com or via her Instagram or Facebook accounts.
