Michaels Adds Country To His Day
• Jay Michaels, Operations Manager of Cumulus Shreveport, LA and PD of Hot AC KQHN (Q97.3) expands his programming portfolio with the addition of PD stripes for KRMD-FM (Country 101.1).
Aaron Criswell, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Shreveport-Bossier City said, “Jay has demonstrated a high level of focus, passion and engagement for the Cumulus Radio Shreveport brands. I’m excited he has accepted the responsibility to return KRMD-FM to the legendary ratings status it once held.
Michaels joined Cumulus Shreveport in January as PD of Q97.3 and was upped to OM of the cluster in late July. Before that he spent six years with Cumulus Indianapolis as PD of Top 40 WYRG (Energy 93.9) and Classic Hits WJJK until last summer.
Commenting on his sweet upgrade, Michaels remarked, “To say that KRMD is a heritage brand is an understatement. I’m excited to work closely and hands on with our talented air staff and reclaim our position as the dominant country leader in the marketplace.”
In addition to KQHN and KRMD-FM, Cumulus Shreveport also includes Urban KMJJ, Urban AC KVMA (Magic 102.9) and Sports-Talk KRMD-AM (100.7 FM/1340 AM The Ticket).
