‘Mijo’ Re-Upped @ Power 96/Miami

• The powers-that-be at Entercom and Miguel “Mijo” Irizarry have applied pen to paper, thus, extending his tenure as Program Director and midday personality on Rhythmic WPOW (Power 96)/Miami. “Mijo has been a strong force in the Power 96 studio over the last year,” said Keriann Worley, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom South Florida. “We are thrilled that he will continue to lead one of our most iconic brands in our cluster.”

Mijo joined Power 96 in August 2017 to do nights, and was upped to PD in October 2018. A second-generation broadcaster, Mijo began his radio career at Cumulus Rhythmic WWKX (Hot 106.3)/Providence in 2010. Following a stint in nights at the former WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia, he spent two years at Mainestream Media Rhythmic WHTP (Hot 104.7)/Portland, ME, wearing the multiple hats of MD, afternoon jock, Imaging Director and Mix Show Coordinator.
