Milwaukee Celebrates Jordan Lee Day
• Several weeks ago it was announced that Jordan Lee had tendered his resignation as Station Director of Radio Milwaukee Triple A WYMS (88Nine)/Milwaukee after a 13-year run to join Paragon Media Strategies as a Consultant. The good news is, Lee will remain engaged with Radio Milwaukee as a consultant, and will assist with the launch of Radio Milwaukee’s upcoming Urban Alternative channel later this year.
Last Friday, Jan. 28, Lee’s last full day with the station, he joined 88Nine morning host Dori Zori for a reunion shift on air. The two famously co-hosted the morning show together for years before Lee became 88Nine’s PD, and then Station Director.
Shortly thereafter, the City of Milwaukee joined 88Nine in celebrating one of its own — to commemorate Jordan Lee’s successful tenure at Radio Milwaukee on his final day as a full-time employee, as well as his many positive contributions to the city’s arts and music scenes, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson officially proclaimed Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 as “Jordan Lee Day” in Milwaukee, with all the rights and privileges thereof.
Lee is pictured here with his official Proclamation, which is earmarked for a place of honor in his home.
