Missanelli Comes Home To The Fanatic

• Beasley Sports-Talk WPEN (97.5 The Fanatic)/Philadelphia announces return of prodigal son Mike Missanelli after a two-year absence. The Mike Missanelli Show will now be heard weekdays from 10am-2pm ET, beginning Monday, August 12.

Missanelli’s extensive sports radio career spans over three decades in Philadelphia. He got his media start as a sportswriter for the Philadelphia Inquirer and made the transition to radio in 1993, working for several Philly stations, including Audacy rival WIP-FM until his unscheduled departure in 2006. Missanelli joined The Fanatic in 2007, and anchored afternoon drive for 15 years until his departure in May 2022.

“I’m excited to welcome Mike back to the Fanatic,” said PD Scott Masteller. “I know that both previous and new listeners will be anxious to hear his insight and perspective on Philadelphia sports.”

No less thrilled about Missanelli’s return is VP/Cluster Manager Paul Blake, who remarked, “We’re excited to welcome Mike Missanelli back to 97.5 The Fanatic. With over 25 years as an iconic sports radio talk show host, Mike’s insightful commentary and engaging style, along with his passion and expertise, make him the perfect fit to lead our station into an exciting new era.”

Bill Colarulo, a recent addition to The Fanatic, will join Missanelli as part of the show’s new  line-up.
