MIW MN Names First Mentee
With Minnesota Broadcasters Association President Wendy Paulson at the helm, MIW Minnesota is the organization’s newest mentoring opportunity and the start of its three-to-five-year strategic plan to partner with State Broadcast Associations across America and assist in building in-house, ongoing programs devoted to coaching and guiding the next generation of radio professionals.
LaRue (left) is currently Station Manager for Q-Media Group, LLC of Red Wing, MN. With a profound passion for radio, LaRue has been in Red Wing for the last five years building her career in radio management, starting as a morning co-host, followed by a promotion to Program Director, then to Operations Manager, and now Station Manager for a cluster of four radio stations with 10 employees.
MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff said, “Lightning struck twice! Partnering with Wendy has been positive, productive, and way fun. And then to meet the powerhouse Ava LaRue and have the opportunity to work with her is what the MIWs are all about. Thanks MBA, Wendy, and Ava!” For more information on MIW Minnesota, visit minnesotabroadcasters.com.
