More Sacramento Pros On The Loose
• Yet another unscheduled departure inside Audacy’s Sacramento broadcast complex — this time it’s our longtime pal (and former R&R colleague) Ken Anthony, who was laid off from his position as Asst. Brand Manager and afternoon drive talent on Classic Rock KSEG (96.9 The Eagle). Anthony’s exit follows that of “Neanderpaul” Marshall, who was downsized from mornings across the hall on Mainstream Rock KRXQ (98 Rock). RAMP has also learned that Myki Angeline is out as evening talent on 98 Rock.
Anthony (left) broke his news in a Facebook post that reads, in part, “I really want to thank everyone I worked with at Audacy and Audacy Sacramento. I hadn’t done full time radio for many years prior to this gig and I really appreciated the opportunity to get back on the air full time. I’m proud of the fact that the station continues to achieve solid ratings week after week and month after month.”
Anthony joined the Eagle in Nov. 2023 — it was his fulltime return to daily radio after stints as Rock Editor of the late, great Radio & Records, followed by an 11-year run with All Access until it too shut down in 2023. Anthony’s impressive Rock programming resume includes such iconic calls as KSJO/San Jose, KLOL/Houston, KLOS and KLSX/Los Angeles and KPNT (The Point)/St. Louis. Anthony also did on-air work at KLOS from 2015-19, and on Cumulus Rocker KSAN (107.7 The Bone)/San Francisco from 2016-23.
