‘Morning Mess 2.0’ Launches In Phoenix
That new chapter begins Monday, Aug. 28 at 5:30am, as Live 101.5 launches its own local version of The Morning Mess, anchored by Joey Boy and featuring co-hosts J.D. and Sienna. “We’re thrilled to re-launch the next chapter of The Morning Mess and introduce a new local version of the show to our Phoenix audience,” said Dave Pugh, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Phoenix. “With the energetic and dynamic team of Joey Boy, J.D., and Sienna, we’re set to deliver a fresh wave of entertainment to kickstart listeners’ mornings.”
This new opportunity is literally a radio homecoming for J.D. Whitfield, who began his full-time radio career on KZON (now KALV), and anchored the No. 1-rated night show from 2010 to 2012. In 2013, J.D. joined The Lady La Morning Show as a co-host. Whitfield went on to spend five years in Boston doing nights on former Audacy Top 40 WODS (103.3 AMP Radio) until June 2020, when it flipped to Classic Hits. He returned to Audacy Phoenix in June to do mornings on Classic Hits sister KOOL-FM (BIG 94.5).
Sienna also serves as an event host and cheerleader for the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes and an in-game host for MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks. She interned with Audacy Phoenix in 2018.
The original Morning Mess with Aneesh Ratan, Jeana Shepard and Karla Hernandez will continue to be heard on B96/Chicago, weekdays from 5:30-9am CT.
