Moses Named WNRN Music & Media Manager
• Stu-Comm non-comm Triple A 91.9 WNRN/Charlottesville, VA announced that Content Director Desiré Moses will shift her position to fill the vacant Music Director role, and take on the added responsibilities as the station’s new Music and Media Manager.
As the release states, “Over Desiré’s tenure with WNRN, she has covered the MD role many times in transition, but now we’re making it official. The new position will allow WNRN to streamline relationships and communication between the station and artists with Desiré leading the music initiatives on-air and on WNRN digital platforms.”
“Over the past eight years, I’ve worn many hats at WNRN, and I’m honored to have contributed to the growth of our organization throughout Virginia,” says Moses. “I have a true passion for championing the voices in our community — from the non-profits making a difference in our listening areas to the musicians revolutionizing the Commonwealth scene — and I’m excited to continue to advance WNRN’s content creation while connecting our listeners to the great music being made in our backyard and beyond.”
Concurrent with this move, WNRN will soon be seeking to fill a new role dedicated to producing and expanding the station’s award-winning public service feature, “Hear Together,” sharing the messages of Virginia non-profits on-air, as well as elevating the vacant midday on-air position.
Ms. Moses can be congratulated at dmoses@wnrn.org — or tell her in person at Non-Comm this week. She’s ready to talk music!
