• Beasley Media Group just announced corporate upgrades for two prominent Boston programmers — Mike Thomas, PD of Sports-Talk WBZ-FM (98.5 The Sports Hub) and David Corey, PD of WKLB (Country 102.5) have been elevated National Format Brand Managers on behalf of the company.
As the National Format Brand Manager for Spoken Word formats, Thomas (left) will work closely with the company’s Sports Programming, Talk, Podcasting and E-sports content. In his new role, Corey (right) will focus on Beasley’s Country stations across America. Both gentlemen will continue to oversee their respective local market stations, while also focusing on their newly expanded roles.
In making the announcement, Beasley Media Group EVP of Programming Justin Chase said, “Mike Thomas and David Corey will join our existing National Format Brand Managers — John Candelaria (Urban) from Detroit, Cadillac Jack (AC/CHR) from Boston and Bill Weston (Rock) from Philly to round out a first-class programming team to further support and elevate our stations.”
Buzz Knight, Beasley EVP of Strategy and Innovation commented, “We’re thrilled to recognize the excellent work from these two fine Brand managers and look to tapping into their expertise to help the entire company.”
