New Stripes For Sonia Jimenez

• Sacramento programming pro Sonia Jimenez has been promoted to MD of Bonneville-operated Country KNCI. She will retain her existing duties as APD/MD of Hot AC sister KZZO (NOW 100.5). The good news was delivered in a memo from Chad Rufer, Group Director of Programming for Bonneville Sacramento, who said, “Sonia has been the APD/MD at KZZO for nearly eight years and has more than two decades of programming/music/marketing experience in radio from New York City to Sacramento and beyond.” Rufer added, “Sonia is a true pro and I’m sure you will find her, as I have, one of the best out there. The two of us will work together to ensure we continue to do great business with you and your labels.”

Commenting on her enhanced responsibilities, Jimenez told RAMP, “I’m very thankful to Chad Rufer and to Steve Cottingim for always supporting me and for giving me the MD reigns for such a heritage station!
