Norsan Buying Orlando From JVC

Norsan Media, one of the nation’s top Hispanic-owned media companies providing entertainment and news via radio, television, newspapers, large-scale events, social media, and digital marketing has expanded its Florida footprint from Jacksonville into the Orlando market with the acquisition of 103.1 WFYY, WDYZ 660 AM, translator W288CJ (105.5 FM) from JVC Media, which exits the market after 11 years.

WFYY and W288CJ are currently the home of JVC’s Hot Talk Florida Man Radio; WFYY-HD2 is Country 103.1 The Wolf, and WDYZ & WFYY-HD3 are currently carrying ESPN Orlando… all of these are expected to change upon the closing of the sale.

“This is not only the 9th market the company will have operations in, but it’s a strategic move to embed within the thriving local Hispanic community in Orlando and foster genuine connections there,” said Natalia Sanchez Alvarez, CEO of Norsan Media. “As we continue to expand and innovate, these additions are poised to bring fresh perspectives and dynamic content to our growing audience. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.”

Those details include the announcement of the stations’ formats, new air talent, executive, and creative teams.

Norsan Media currently owns and operates Regional Mexican, Latin Urban, Latin Pop/Tropical, Spanish Adult Contemporary stations in the Southeast and in Austin, TX.
