Now Entering Raleigh’s Pulse FM: B Paiz
• Veteran programmer/personality Brian “B” Paiz has joined the on-air team at Curtis Media Group Top 40 WPLW (Pulse FM)/Raleigh. Paiz is already a known quantity in the Raleigh market, having most recently programmed iHeartMedia Classic Hip Hop 95.3 The Beat (WDCG-HD2) until the company’s August round of restructuring. He was also heard in Greensboro & Asheville, NC, and Norfolk, VA via iHeart’s Format Center.
Pulse PD Matt “MJ” Johnson commented, “I’m thrilled to bring B. Paiz into the new Pulse FM’s family. With his enthusiasm and market experience, we look forward to doing great things.”
Paiz began his career at WPEG/Charlotte, and his extensive resume includes a stint as SVP of Programming for iHeart’s 11-station group in Albany & Columbus, GA; and Brand Manager of IBX Media Urban AC WRHD-HD2 (Fresh 97.9)/Greenville, NC. Paiz earlier programmed iHeartMedia Urban WXBT/Columbia, SC and was Director of Urban Programming for WIBB and WRBV/Macon, GA. He was also Programming and Brand Content Consultant for the syndicated Chubb Rock Show.
Paiz remarked, “I’m very excited to join the Pulse team. I appreciate MJ and Curtis Media giving me this great opportunity. I love living in Raleigh with my family and this gives me the opportunity to be heard in the Triangle.” Paiz will officially join the Pulse staff on Monday, Nov. 18.
