OHP Upgrades For Kannon & Breezy
• United Stations Media Networks announced expanded roles for the two most high-profile members of the team behind its long-running weekend show, Open House Party — longtime Saturday host Kannon (left) has been promoted to Brand Manager of the show, while Joe Breezy (right) has been elevated to Music/Industry Relations Director for the franchise as well as permanent Sunday host. United Stations has been overseeing the production, distribution and affiliate relations efforts for Open House Party since its 2013 acquisition of the program,
Kannon will continue to host the original Saturday night edition of OHP and work closely with United Stations in the show’s marketing, formatting, imaging, social media and branding. Kannon will also handle the artist interviews for both weekend shows and anchor the fast-growing OHP Uncut podcast and YouTube channel spun from those interview sessions. Breezy will work closely with Kannon and handle Industry Relations for the show as well as Music Director duties by finalizing the weekly adds, music rotations and music scheduling.
Kannon, who is also Assistant Brand Manager of Audacy’s WSTR (Star 94)/Atlanta, has been part of the OHP team since 2005. Breezy has served as Brand Manager of Midwest Communications’ Top 40 WNFN (Hot 106.7)/Nashville for the past five years and hosted United Stations’ The Celebrity Top Ten Countdown prior to his involvement with Open House Party.
United Stations’ EVP of Programming Andy Denemark commented, “Open House Party is the most highly regarded brand in Top 40 radio, and the future of the program couldn’t be in better hands than the combination of Kannon and Joe Breezy. Those two guys, along with Producer Bill Powell, do a great job upholding the long-standing reputation of the show. They’ve also energized the program and everyone who is exposed to it. It’s a killer team.”
