Out With The Old; In With The Q!

• Flinn Broadcasting Memphis is thrilled to announced that, as of 10am CT on Thursday, 107.5 WHBQ has dropped Classic Hits and returned to its heritage Top 40 position as “Q1075, The #1 Hit Music Station.” It was only appropriate that Q1075 relaunched with Lizzo‘s “About Damn Time.”

OM Chris Taylor is excited about the move, telling RAMP, “I’ve been playing Men At Work records the last four years… what did I miss?” But seriously, Taylor noted, “After four years people still referred to the station as ‘Q1075!’ As the Memphis radio market landscape is changing, bringing back Q1075 was an easy decision.”

Joe Mack continues as APD/MD and afternoon jock and Syd Neighbors remains in middays. Taylor is promising a morning show announcement next week.

Current Flinn Top 40 WOWW 1430AM (B97.7)/Germantown-Memphis will simulcast Q1075 for a few days until a new format is announced.
