PD Upgrades @ Mid-West Family South Bend

• Mid-West Family South Bend, IN threw an impromptu promotion party to share the news of two newly named Program Directors — 1) Shelli Harmon has been upped to PD of Sports Radio 96.1 WSBT and Classic Hits WZOC (Z94.3), and 2) Kristen Havens is the newly named Program Director of Top 40 WQLQ (Live 99.9) and APD of AC WNSN (Sunny 101.5).

Harmon (left) has served as APD for the cluster for the past several years. In a staff memo announcing the upgrades, GM Bill Gamble said of Harmon, “In the 10+ years, I’ve worked with Shelli she has accomplished everything asked of her. Shelli gets things done. I’m confident she’ll do a great job leading and growing these two stations.” Harman remarked, “I’m very proud to be working here; and being trusted to program great brands like Z94.3 and WSBT is an honor.”

Havens (right) earns the transfer from Mid-Family’s stations in Benton Harbor, MI, where she has served as Assistant Director of Content. “I’ve worked with Kristen for several years, and I know she’ll be a great addition to our team,” Gamble said. “Before Benton Harbor, Kristen was the Events, Promotions, and Community Relations Coordinator for the Mid-West Family radio stations in Springfield, MO.” Havens said, “Live 99 and Sunny have tremendous reputations, and I’m beyond honored for the opportunity to be part of the South Bend team!”
