Peake is a 25-year industry pro who transitions from his most recent role as Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s San Diego/Riverside region. “John is an amazing talent coach, incredible music head and strong leader who has helped develop some enduring radio brands,” said Andrew Jeffries, EVP of Programming, West Division for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. “We’re thrilled to now have his talent and experience in Los Angeles and we know that KOST 103.5 and 104.3 MYfm will continue their immense success under his leadership.”
Prior to landing in San Diego four years ago, Peake was Operations Manager for iHeartMedia Seattle, preceded by two years in Phoenix as the Show Director for the Premiere-syndicated Johnjay & Rich show. Peake commented, “KOST 103.5 and 104.3 MYfm are some of L.A.’s most influential brands and their bold and innovative approach has made them leaders in the Los Angeles market. What gives these brands their real potency are the people who work there. I’m humbled and excited to be joining such a talented team and I look forward to being part of their continuing success.”
• Concurrent with Peake’s transfer, iHeartMedia also announced that current KOST PD Michael La Crosse would transition into an advisory role that will include working on key projects in iHeartMedia’s West Division, working closely with Andrew Jeffries. More details will be forthcoming. Also, Brandon Bell, APD/MD of 104.3 MYfm adds similar duties at KOST, reporting to Peake.
