Portland Orders Much Larger Fan
• Audacy just seriously boosted the footprint of KFXX-AM (1080 The Fan)/Portland by launching a simulcast on sister KRSK, displacing Hot AC Bella 105. The new 105.1 The Fan launches Tuesday, and will be programmed by longtime Fan personality Dusty Harrah (pictured).
The Fan will continue to broadcast on 1080 AM and remain the radio flagship of the University of Oregon Ducks football, and men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring The FAN to the FM dial,” said Ryan Cooley, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Portland. “This move is long overdue and all about delivering a better listening experience for our audience with clearer sound and great content our fans know and love. For the first time in our history, our entire primetime on-air lineup will be 100% local and led by our new Brand Manager, Dusty Harrah, a native Oregonian.”
105.1 The Fan also debuts a revamped weekday lineup today, starting with Dirt and Sprague, whose show is extended an extra hour and now airs 6-10am, followed by the launch of The Firm Of Harris and Marang, hosted by Patrick Harris and Danny Marang from 10am-1pm. The Happy Hour with Luke Andersen will now air weekdays from 2-3pm PT.
