Portland Pros On The Loose
• As first reported by Country Aircheck (and independently confirmed by RAMP), Alpha Media Country KUPL (98.7 The Bull)/Portland, OR has released three longtime employees: APD/MD & 9am-to-noon talent Danny Dwyer, noon-to-3pm host Jake Byron and Marketing Director Karli Sann.
Dwyer (left) celebrated his 27th anniversary with The Bull in April of this year. His first official radio gig was at the late, great KZLA/Los Angeles in 1992, and he first caught the radio bug back in 1981 while in high school, working at the mighty 106.3 KMMT/Mammoth Lakes, CA. RAMP reached out to Dwyer, who said, “It’s a bummer, but I take away the memories and good times that I’ve had, and some of the most amazing experiences that I will always cherish.”
Byron (center) originally spent 16 years with The Bull as morning co-host until he, co-host Tony Russell and PD MoJoe Roberts were furloughed in April 2020. Byron was rehired in Oct. 2021 as evening talent. Sann (right) rejoined the company in July 2022. She first worked there from 2013 to 2018, rising from Street Teamer to Promotions Director of The Bull.
