Prime PD Opening: WKKT/Charlotte

• RAMP has confirmed that veteran programmer Shelly Easton is planning to step down as Program Director of iHeartMedia Country WKKT (96.9 The Cat)/Charlotte in the near future to focus on her family.

Easton joined The Kat in October 2021, bringing more than 25 years of programming expertise with her, mos tnotably in Philadelphia, where she programmed Audacy Country WXTU for almost 11 years. She later served as VP of Music Programming and PD of AC WBEB (B101.1) and Classic Hits WOGL until her departure in January 2021. Easton got her radio start in 1987, and embarked on her programming career at WBRT/Harrisburg, PA in 2001. She later moved to Allentown, PA as OM/PD of WCTO (Cat Country 96) & AC WLEV and served as Citadel Country Format Captain.
