Programming Upgrades At AGM Albuquerque
• The staff of American General Media Albuquerque is still dealing with December’s untimely passing of Operations Manager Michelle Matthews. To that end, RAMP has learned that the company has made two internal promotions: Scott Matthews (left), APD/afternoon drive talent on Classic Rock KIOT (Coyote 102.5) has been elevated to Program Director, while Chaz Malibu (right), longtime morning personality with Classic Hits KABG (BIG 98.5) has been appointed PD of his station.
Matthews joined AGM Albuquerque as afternoon talent in April 2022 and added APD stripes in August 2025. He previously programmed Lotus Classic Hits KTHI (107.1 K-Hits)/Boise, ID, iHeartMedia Top 40 KAZX & Classic Hits KKFG-FM/Farmington, NM and was OM for Hutton Broadcasting in Santa Fe, NM. Matthews also enjoyed a prior run with American General Media a few years back as OM of KPTE & KDGO/Durango, CO, and he’s been on-air at KIMN and KYGO/Denver.
