Promotions Are King At Cumulus Birmingham
• Cumulus Birmingham promotes from within, and appoints Sly King as Promotions Director for the five-station group. King certainly knows his way around the building – and the market – having been heard on Cumulus Birmingham stations for over 17 years. King started his career as an intern at Urban AC WUHT (Hot 107.7), later serving as the local producer of the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show. He currently hosts The Happy Hour with Sly King on Hot 107.7 Monday through Thursday from 6-9pm, Fridays from 6-10pm, and Saturdays from 2-7pm.
In making the announcement of King’s upgrade, VP/Market Manager James Robinson said, “I’m excited to announce Sly King as our new Promotions Director in Birmingham. I’m proud to promote from within our Birmingham team, someone who has been committed to the Birmingham community for many years. I believe Sly will continue his dedicated hard work and will take the Cumulus Birmingham team to new heights.”
King commented, “I couldn’t be more excited and grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role at Cumulus Birmingham. I’m eager to work alongside our tremendous leadership team and continue our efforts to make Birmingham the absolute best!”
