Pros On The Loose: Pat McKay
• RAMP has learned that, after a successful 14-year run, New England radio pro Pat McKay is now a free agent, as his dual position as OM of Saga’s Manchester, NH group and Brand Manager of heritage AC 95.7 WZID has been eliminated.
McKay had been on the job there since Sept. 2010, coming off a decade as OM of Clear Channel’s Springfield & Worcester, MA stations.
“It was a fun ride while it lasted and we had much success over the years — 28 straight ratings wins for WZID!” McKay tells RAMP. “The station is currently No. 1 P12+,18-34, 18-49, 25-54 and dominates female demos, so, it’s well positioned for the future. Quick shout out to my staff who worked very hard to help deliver a great product year after year. I couldn’t have done it without them.” In closing, McKay said, “Where do I go from here? Yet to be determined. For now, I’m going to play more golf until the snow arrives.”
