Q104/KC Talent Lineup: Remixed

• Steel City Media Country KBEQ (Q104)/Kansas City yesterday unwrapped its adjusted on-air lineup. The action begins first thing with The Morning Drive with Kyle and Mallory, hosted by Kyle Matthews, who, as was first announced in February was joining Q104 as MD from his position as Brand Manager and afternoon talent on Townsquare Media’s KAWO (Wow Country 104.3)/Boise, ID.

The “Mallory” portion of this new wake-up equation is Mallory Kay, who unplugs from nights across the hall on Top 40 sister KMXV (Mix 93.3). Already semi-used to these ungodly morning hours, Kay has been covering the morning show since earlier this year, following the departure of former PD Todd Nixon late last year and his co-host Jenny Matthews in February.

The Morning Drive with Kyle and Mallory will also feature the contributions of a familiar voice: “Nashville Insider” Joe “Tater” Cavanagh, who earlier spent eight years at Q104 in various capacities until last January, when he relocated to Music City to pursue a career as a songwriter.

The Q104 midday show will now be anchored by Marissa Leggio, who is upgraded from the promotions department. The remainder of Q104 weekday schedule remains the same, with Lydia “LT” Taylor in afternoon drive, followed by Erika Jay at night.

Front row: Kyle & Mallory; Back row, (l-r): LT, Erika Jay, ‘Tater,’ & Marissa.
