Quinn & Lopez Make News In NYC
• Audacy announced a series of key news programming moves for All-News duo WCBS 880 and 1010 WINS (simulcast on 92.3)/New York, effective in mid-February: Brigitte Quinn and Lynda Lopez will handle midday anchor duties, with Lopez joining 1010 WINS and Quinn moving from WINS over to WCBS 880 as host & Managing Editor of Newsline, weekdays from 10am-1pm ET. It was also announced that reporter Sophia Hallhas been elevated to Long Island Bureau Chief.
Quinn (left) has hosted Newsline with Brigitte Quinn in middays on WINS since 2021. Before that she anchored morning drive at the station for eight years. Her career includes anchoring at MSNBC, NBC News at Sunrise, and FOX News channel. In the mid-’90s, Quinn became the first female co-anchor in morning drive on WCBS radio.
Lopez (right) has worked at the local and network levels, earning an Emmy for Outstanding News Program and a place in the prestigious Who’s Who Among Hispanic Americans. She has also served a news anchor on WCBS-TV, My9 and FOX 5/New York. Lopez earlier worked at WNBC-TV, E! News, ABC News and Audacy’s WCBS 880 and WNEW.
