Rainey Named PD, KKRZ & KXJM/Portland
• iHeartMedia has tapped programming pro Tim Rainey as the new Program Director of heritage Top 40 KKRZ (Z100) and Rhythmic KXJM (Jam’n 107.5)/Portland.

Rayne arrives in Portland from the Southern California News Group, based in Orange County, CA, where he has served as Sr. Director, Content Marketing since 2022. Rainey’s most recent programming gig was Audacy Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End)/Sacramento from 2015 until early 2021. His previous major programming stops include former CBS Radio Top 40 WDZH (98.7 AMP Radio)/Detroit and former Radio One Top 40 WNOU/Indianapolis. Rainey got his first taste of radio at the age of 13, interning as a board op at KGVM in his hometown of Gardnerville, NV. He later relocated to Reno where he gained valuable experience at KDOT, KLCA and KWNZ, before moving to Las Vegas, graduating from UNLV in 2004 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Rainey also worked at KLUC/Las Vegas and KHTT/Tulsa before landing in Indianapolis in 2006.
