Ready To Ride The Radio Ranch?
• LKCM Radio Group Country KFWR (95.9 The Ranch)/Jacksboro-Ft. Worth, TX has a very rare opening for a Program Director and full-time on-air personality who knows Texas Country/Red Dirt/Americana music, and has a dialect and delivery that will fit “The Sound of Texas.” As Gerry Schlegel, President of LKCM Radio Group explains to RAMP, “After 16 years with our company in various roles, Operations Director/PD/midday host Andy Meadows will be leaving toward the end of May to pursue personal interests.”
LKCM is an independent operator with an entrepreneurial spirit located in the heart of Ft Worth, providing spectacular showcase studios and state-of-the-art facilities. We are extremely active in the local community and promotionally driven.
Let’s talk employment stability for a minute… Schlegel says, “My two Ranch morning jocks have been with the station 10 years and seven years, respectively; my MD/PM drive jock has been here nine years; evening jock: five years; Production Director: 15 years; Business Manager: 13 years; Promotions Director: seven years, and I’ve been at the helm 16 years. The PD on my other station HANK FM has been with us for 14 years.”
Bottom Line: “We’re a place people can hang their hat,” Schlegel says. “We have fun, work hard, show respect, innovate and make radio magic daily.” You heard the man…
Onboard training and support will be provided by existing PD Andy Meadows to ensure a smooth transition. A minimum of five years of full-time on-air experience required for either PD or on-air position. Prior programming experience is required. If you meet the qualifications and are ready for an authentic Texas radio adventure, send cover letter, resume and aircheck to Gerry Schlegel at jobs@theranchradio.com. LKCM Radio Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
