Reed Upped To OM For CMG Tulsa
• Congrats to Nathan Reed, on his swell upgrade to Radio Operations Manager for Cox Media Group Tulsa. He will retain his current role as Director of Branding and Programming for Hot AC KRAV (Mix 96.5) and will now have operational oversight for Classic Rock KJSR (103.3 The Eagle), Country KWEN (K95.5), News-Talk KRMG-AM/FM and recently launched Active Rock 105.7 The Bone (KWEN-HD2). The move is part of ongoing integration of Cox Media Group Tulsa operations across radio, television, and digital platforms.
In making the announcement, Tulsa Market Vice President Cathy Gunther said, “Nate’s commitment to strong programming will continue to set our stations apart from our competitors. He has been a natural leader at our radio properties and now, with all our platforms working together, he will be integral part of our new leadership team.” CMG VP of Programming Steve Smith added, “Nate is a great addition to our programming roster. I have no doubt he will continue to lead our Tulsa cluster to even higher heights. He is a Warrior!”
Reed has more than 21 years experience in multiple radio formats and cluster strategy and joined CMG Tulsa in May of 2016. Before that he was SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s seven-station cluster in Toledo, OH. Prior to landing in Toledo in 2008, Reed spent nearly a decade in various roles with Regent Broadcasting in Flint, MI. “CMG has felt like home since day one,” said Reed. “I’m excited to lead our team as we adapt today for the media landscape of tomorrow, which helps us bring heightened awareness to our fans and more value to our clients than any other company in the market.”
