Reeves Ready To Ride Into Sunset
• Wrapping up a career that spanned more than 41 years, veteran programmer and on-air personality Chuck Reeves announced he will be retiring, effective Dec. 31. Reeves, who currently does mornings on Wakyana Classic Hits WAKY/Louisville got his radio start in 1984. Along the way, his stops have included KNOT/Prescott, AZ; KTAR/Phoenix; KRLT & KOWL/South Lake Tahoe, CA; KBUL and KURK/Reno, NV; KSAM & KHVL/Huntsville, TX; KQBL/Boise, ID; and KTFW/Fort Worth, TX.
“Man, what a ride,” Reeves said. “I can’t begin to tell you how much fun this has been. The friends that I’ve made, the changes that I’ve witnessed through the decades and the memories that I take with me… well, let’s just say that I’ve been beyond blessed and extremely fortunate.”
Following his final shift on WAKY, Chuck and his wife Debbie will be relocating back to Texas, where his retirement will include long motorcycle trips and plenty of golf. In the meantime, your best wishes can be shared with Chuck directly at chuckreeves33@yahoo.com.
