Renee Really Retiring From The River
• Major development at iHeartMedia Classic Hits WHCN (The River 105-9)/Hartford, which announced the impending retirement of longtime midday personality Renee DiNino. Her last day on-air will be June 30.
DiNino is a Connecticut native who grew up listening to The River and has most recently served as the station’s midday host, Community Access Director and host of Acoustic Sunday Mornings.
Throughout her career, DiNino has received numerous accolades and Humanitarian Awards for her community service. She serves on multiple boards and committees and is active with many charitable organizations. Her most recent passion projects include working with Connecticut Legislatures on the passing of an animal advocacy bill and working with Campaign for Bully Free Communities as an Ambassador. DiNino is also a champion of children’s causes and literacy and military/veteran centered nonprofits. She’s also passionate about working with CT Animal Control Officers to educate the public on the over-population of animals and the proper surrender of them.
