Rob Morris Exits Entercom Miami

RAMP has confirmed that Rob Morris has departed as VP of Programming for Entercom Miami and PD of WPOW (Power 96). No permanent replacement has been named yet, but we understand Power 96 APD/MD Will Calder has been named Acting PD. Just last week it was reported that Morris had handed off the programming of Country WKIS (Kiss Country 99.9) to John O’Connell, PD ofAlternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark).

Morris arrived in sunny Miami in December 2014 after a four-month stint as VP of Programming for CBS Radio’s former stations in Tampa. Morris most notably spent two decades in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, 17 of those with Clear Channel, rising to OM/PD of Top 40 KDWB and OM of News/Talk KTCN-AM until the end of 2011.

Shortly thereafter he was hired by crosstown CBS Radio in the newly created position of OM/PD of Country/Adult Hits duo KMNB (Buz’n 102.9) and Adult Hits KZJK (104.1 Jack FM)/Minneapolis, but had to sit out a six-month non-compete until July 2012. Looking toward the future, Morris can be contacted at 612-963-6520 or RobMorris1222@gmail.com.
