Roberts Joins KXL/Portland As AM Co-Anchor

• Alpha Media’s FM News 101 KXL/Portland, OR is excited to welcome award-winning journalist Heather Roberts as co-anchor of Portland’s Morning News, weekdays from 5-9am PT.

Roberts comes to KXL from Combined Communications News-Talk KBND-AM (FM News 101.1 & 1110)/Bend, OR, where she was News Director and Morning News Anchor. Roberts also owns and operates the Oregon Radio News Network, where she covers regional issues for radio stations across the state.

As if that wasn’t enough, Roberts also has experience in television, where she’s done everything from operating the live truck, to anchoring the news, to moderating debates.

“Heather is a consummate professional who has demonstrated her news chops across Oregon,” said KXL News Director Grant McHill. “When we started the process of searching for our next anchor, we made it a priority to find someone who has a relentless sense for finding the stories that matter.
