Rock 103.3 Reaches More Than The Beaches

• Sun Broadcasting Active Rock outlet Rock 103.3 (WHEL-HD2)/Ft. Myers, FL has seriously expanded its broadcast footprint in southern Lee County with the annexation of a translator tuned to 94.1 FM.

Sun Broadcasting, Inc. purchased the translator from Fort Myers Broadcasting, which had been using it to air Regional Mexican La Raza 94.1. As you can see by the station’s updated logo, the rebranded Rock 103-3 & 94-1 now boldly proclaims “Our Rock Is Always Hard!”

Needless to say, this newly improved coverage has greatly excited PD John Rozz and APD/MD/midday delight Anthony “Roach” Proffitt, who tells RAMP, “Two weeks ago we launched an app, and that was exciting. Now adding this new signal expands the ability of us reaching listeners even farther south in our market. From the reaction we are getting via calls, texts and e-mails,  SW Florida is loving Rock 103.3 and now 94.1 EVEN more!”
