Rockford PD Opportunity!
• Mid-West Family AC WGFB (B103)/Rockford, IL is looking for a full-time Program Director to begin work immediately, as we’ve demonstrated solid revenue and profit growth over the past 12 months. The logo for the station is solid. So is the voice guy. The backbone of music is A+. The structure of the station is solid, and we’ve got a growing morning show.
What’s your role? You will work closely with OM Mark Van Allen and GM Mike Paterson to help make B103 the best Pop AC radio station without the command and control from corporate radio and bankers where you get to imagine promotions plus “stationality”– then bring them to life that speaks to the audience and community in 2018 and beyond. You’ll help us build a brand for the future while relying on tried and true principles of success.
Our next PD will have incredible people acumen and be able to coach an airstaff while building bridges with the sales staff. You will be heavily involved in the community and not be afraid of real hard work. You will be entrepreneurial and figure out ways to make money besides airing a 60-second spot. You will understand data and how to paint a picture of the audience without paying Nielsen a monthly bounty.
Previous programming experience is notnecessary, but we’re going to ask you about your leadership experience and ways you can demonstrate past successes as a leader. Understanding of imaging, Selector, MediaTouch, and digital distribution is important. You will also maintain airshift, whether it’s weekdays or weekend.
