Sammi Reeves: Free Agent
• RAMP has learned that Sammi Reeves was laid off yesterday from her role as MD and afternoon talent at Beasley Hot AC KVGS (102.7 VGS)/Las Vegas, due to those dreaded budget cuts. Reeves had also served as the fill-in morning co-host for Aimee+Shawn, Production Director and other duties.
“Well, I guess I’m officially in radio!” Reeves said. “Being a part of the launch of 102.7 VGS has been the honor of my career, and I’m going to miss my co-workers there dearly.”
Off the mic, Sammi has been incredibly involved in the community as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society executive leadership committee, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and she emcees for several non-profit organizations in Las Vegas.
Oh, and if there is such a thing as decent timing for downsizing, Sammi will be attending Morning Show Boot Camp this week in San Diego to meet-and-greet and have some productive conversations. “I’m ready to shake every hand at Morning Show Boot Camp and excited for my next opportunity!” she said.
