SF To Vegas, As The Crowe Flies
• After a five-year run as PD of Cumulus Sports-Talk KNBR (680AM/104.5FM)/San Francisco, Jeremiah Crowe announced that he’s leaving in mid-July and moving with his family to Las Vegas, where he will reportedly pursue opportunities in the rapidly growing sports-betting space. The news was initially reported by Barrett Sports Media.
Crowe (pictured) joined the KNBR programming team in May 2016 as PD of KTCT-AM (KNBR 1050) and APD of KNBR-AM680, and was upped to PD of both stations in July 2017. Crowe previously spent four years across the street as APD of Entercom rival KGMZ (95.7 The Game)/San Francisco. Earlier in his career Crowe worked for ESPN in Bristol, CT, and served as the producer of Mike and Mike in the Morning, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, SportsNation, NFL Countdown to Kickoff, College Gameday, RaceDay and Fantasy Focus on ESPN Radio.
“After five successful years at Cumulus San Francisco, I’ve decided to move on from my post as KNBR’s Program Director,” said Crowe. “I’d like to thank Dave Milner, Bruce Gilbert, Justin Wittmayer and Larry Blumhagen for their support in entrusting me to lead one of the most prestigious and dominant brands in sports radio history. The privilege of working alongside the best staff in all of radio while experiencing the Bay Area’s rich culture has truly been the experience of a lifetime. I’ll always cherish the deep friendships made around The Sports Leader’s studios, and plan to visit often. Our family looks ahead to our next chapter in Las Vegas, ground-zero for the ever-expanding sports betting industry.”
Larry Blumhagen, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus San Francisco, said, “We thank Jeremiah for five great years at KNBR and wish him and his family all good things as they start a new chapter in Las Vegas. Jeremiah is still leading KNBR, and will do so until a replacement is found.”
