Shelly Easton: Free Agent
• RAMP has learned that after 11 years with Entercom Philadelphia, Shelly Easton has exited as VP of Music Programming and PD of AC WBEB (B101.1) and Classic Hits WOGL, effective December 31.
Easton got her radio start in 1987, and embarked on her programming career at WBRT/Harrisburg, PA in 2001. She later moved to Allentown as OM/PD of WCTO (Cat Country 96) & AC WLEV and Citadel Country Format Captain. Easton arrived in Philadelphia in Dec. 2009 to program Country WXTU under Beasley and CBS Radio, later adding oversight of WBEB, WOGL and Top 40 WTDY. She was named Entercom Philly VP of Music Programming in 2017.
“I’m grateful to have gotten to work with incredible teams throughout my career and so proud of the successes we’ve enjoyed together, including the highest ratings in Philadelphia since 1967 on WBEB during the 2019 Holiday Book,” Easton remarked, adding, “I’m looking forward to turning the page to a new chapter in 2021.”
