‘Sherman, Set The Wayback Machine…’
• Get ready to roll tape… as we used to say… because all Labor Day Weekend, hitoldies.net proudly presents an awesome recreation of the famous “WNBC Time Machine,” featuring iconic air personalities, and for all of us fellow jingle junkies, some authentic vintage WNBC jingles.
This Labor Day labor of love comes courtesy of a couple of radio mega-fans — Steve West, PD of HitOldies.net and APD Matt Seinberg of Big Apple Airchecks.
The special holiday weekend programming will feature guest appearances from former WNBC PD Dale Parsons, and air personalities like Steve Garren, Bob Gilmore, Willie B, Robby Bridges, Mark James, Paul DiMarco, Rockin’ Richie Norris, Magic Matt Craig and many others, along with a WNBC Retrospective narrated by Parsons, The Best of The 66 WNBC Time Machine Airchecks from 1987-88 and a replay of the Dick Ervasti Memorial Show from March 2021.
All this and much more, and it gets underway Friday night at 6pm ET and runs through Monday evening. The show will also be simulcasting on WBLQ-AM/Westerly, RI on Monday, 9/6. The complete weekend schedule is posted on Facebook for your convenience.
