Slade Upped To MD/Middays, WIXX/Green Bay
• Midwest Communications’ heritage Top 40 101 WIXX/Green Bay, WI is proud to announce the elevation of Jayson Slade from nights to middays and Music Director, starting Tuesday, Sept. 5.
“Jayson is a true professional and a great employee,” said WIXX Brand Manager Corey Carter. “He does everything we ask and more, including an interactive show and active social media presence. Plus, he’s extremely well-liked in the community and within our organization. We’re looking forward to having him in this new role!”
Slade joined WIXX in May 2015 as the station’s 7-midnight talent. He previously worked for WZOK/Rockford, IL. In his not-so-spare time Slade is also the In-Stadium Entertainment Host at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers, Event Host for QuintEvents and the In-Game Entertainment Host for UW-Green Bay Men’s and Women’s Basketball.

WIXX has not had a fulltime MD since Otis Day left in March of 2022; Carter has held those duties since then. The station’s previous midday personality Fife left in May 2023 after seven years for a radio opportunity back home in Michigan. WIXX continues to interview to fill the night position.
