SLC Future Is Bright, Said Fred
• iHeartMedia Top 40 KZHT (97.1 ZHT/Salt Lake City announces the debut of the Premiere-syndicated The Fred Show in morning drive, effective Monday, Jan. 13.
The Fred Show, based at iHeart Top 40 sister WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM)/Chicago, is helmed by… yup, Fred, along with castmates Kaelin, Paulina, Showbiz Shelly, Jason Brown and Keke.
“Get ready, Salt Lake City — The Fred Show is here to make mornings your favorite part of the day!” said Trevor Morini, Director of Programming & Brand Strategy for KZHT. “With a diverse cast including a wide variety of personalities and life stages, there’s truly someone for everyone to connect with. I’m confident the people of Utah will quickly fall in love with The Fred Show.”
Fred (pictured) said, “We are so excited to be a part of the morning routine in Salt Lake City. It’s a privilege to be on the legendary ‘ZHT, and we’re looking forward to joining the community on and off the air. I can’t wait for the city to meet our dysfunctional family that you never knew you wanted!”
KZHT has been without a permanent wake-up show since last November, when previous duo Eric “E.” Whiteand Erica Shea exited during another major round of corporate downsizing.
