Son Of Go Country: Go Country Gold

• After a month of stunting with all-Taylor Swift music, Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters’ Saul Levine made good on his plans to flip KMZT-AM (1260 K-Mozart)/Beverly Hills from Classical to Classic Country, “California Style” as KKGO-AM (Go Country Gold), the perfect audio companion to sister KKGO-FM (Go Country 105).

Go Country Gold will heavily feature classics from the ’80s, ’90s, and early ’00s from core artists like Garth Brooks, Alabama, Reba, Randy Travis, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, The Judds, Alan Jackson, and Patsy Cline, etc.

“We won’t forget about the ’60s or ’70s and also feature West Coast classics that influenced the format,” says Levine. “For years, Southern California Country fans sold out venues from the Palomino Club and The Troubadour to The Forum, and now, So-Fi Stadium. We’re proud to offer these passionate music fans a second radio station for Country Music.”

Go Country Gold is now playing locally on 1260AM, streaming at KKGO-FM-HD4, and worldwide at GoCountryGold.com. FYI: The Classical format remains intact on KKGO-HD2 and on 98.3FM (K252FO).
