SummitMedia Taps A.J. As SVPP
• SummitMedia LLC avails itself of the experience of programming pro Chadwick “A.J.” Hausknecht and brings him aboard as Senior Vice President of Programming for Top 40, Hot AC and AC.
In his new role, A.J. will oversee Top 40 stations WPYA (Today’s Hits 97.3)/Birmingham, AL, WWST (Star 102.1)/Knoxville and KSPW (Power 96.5)/Springfield, MO; Hot AC WVEZ (Mix 106.9)/Louisville, WURV (103.7 Your Variety)/Richmond and KRTR (Krater 96.3)/Honolulu; and Top 40 KQCH (Channel 94.1) and AC KSRZ (Star 104.5)/Omaha.
A.J. joins SummitMedia after a 12-year run with iHeartMedia, rising to his most recent role as Region SVP of Programming for the Carolina Metro (Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro & Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC), until March 2024, when he exited during another round of restructuring.
A.J. made his iHeart debut in 2012 as PD of Top 40 WWHT/Syracuse and Rhythmic WKGS/Rochester, NY, and was later upped to SVP of Programming for iHeart Richmond & Norfolk, VA. That was followed by a move to St. Louis as Regional SVP of Programming for the St. Louis Region and PD of Top 40 KSLZ (Z107.7) and KATZ (Hallelujah 1600). In Feb. 2018 A.J. transferred to Charlotte as PD of Top 40 WHQC (now HITS 96.1)and Adult Hits WLKO (102.9 The Lake), and a year later was elevated to Region SVP of Programming for the Virginia-Carolina region. A.J. spent the first 13 years of his career with WBHT/Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA, rising to PD.
