‘Tanch’ On The Loose
• RAMP has confirmed that Jamie “Tanch” Tanchyk has exited as APD/MD/midday personality at Entercom Rhythmic KHTP (Hot 103.7)/Seattle as his position is eliminated due to budget cuts.”Hey, it happens,” Tanch said in a Facebook post. “I’ve been in radio 14 years, the past 5 and a half at Hot. It’s an amazing station that deserves all the success in the world, and the experience has been incredible. I’ve met so many amazing people and lifelong friends here on the West Coast. So grateful for the opportunity to do what I love in a city like Seattle.”
Prior to his arrival on the West Coast in April 2014, Tanch was PD/midday personality at Albany Broadcasting Triple A WZMR (104.9 The Peak)/Albany, NY — the market where he had spent the bulk of his radio wonder years. Before that he programmed Townsquare Media Urban Hot 99.1 and Albany Broadcasting Rhythmic WAJZ (Jamz 96.3). He was also APD/night jock on Albany Broadcasting Top 40 WFLY (Fly 92.3) and did weekends on Entercom Top 40 WODS (103.3 AMP Radio)/Boston from 2013-2014.
