• Lots of activity swirling in the hallways of iHeartMedia’s Wichita, KS broadcast complex, as we learned that David Kane, PD of Top 40 KZCH (Channel 96.3) and AC KRBB (B98) has been named SVP of Programming for the company’s cluster in Modesto, CA. Stay tuned for further details, as he starts next week.

Moments later it was announced that Jim Dorman (left), SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Wichita and PD of Country KZSN (102.1 The Bull) would assume bonus PD responsibilities for B98, while the care and feeding of Channel 96.3 has been awarded to Manny Cowzinski (right), PD of Alternative sibling KTHR (ALT 107-3).

Don Pollnow, Market President of iHeartMedia Wichita, said of Dorman, “I have already been working with Jim for several months. Because he has great experience and knowledge of many formats as well as huge passion for our stations in Wichita I’m excited to see him take on a bigger role.” An equally excited Dorman said, “It’s an honor to program AC KRBB, and I’m looking forward to a great 2020.”

Cowzinski joined iHeartMedia Wichita in November 2013 and has programmed KTHR since November 2017. Dorman said, “Manny has shown he has the passion and skills to not only program an Alternative station but also program Channel 96-3. Cowzinski remarked, “I’m looking forward to this great opportunity. I got my start in Top 40 at KKRD/Wichita… I’ve been in this market for over 25 years and can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
