Time For A Conversation, Says Audacy

• Audacy has launched Audacy Conversations — a new quarterly town hall program involving 12 of its News brands nationwide, featuring a week of coordinated local coverage in Audacy’s News markets, a live town hall broadcast rotationally hosted by one of its brands and a syndicated news special carried on participating News and News-Talk brands and the Audacy app.

Audacy Conversations aims to foster meaningful conversations on vital topics, exemplifying the core of Audacy’s news platform and radio’s unwavering commitment to informing and connecting the local communities we serve,” said Bill Smee, Audacy VP of News. “We look forward to leveraging the power and influence of our combined news brands to cultivate conversations and connections on topics relevant to our local communities throughout the year.”

The next Audacy Conversations will explore “The State of Downtown” — over three years later, America’s cities are still grappling with challenges and unexpected fallout caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. WBBM-AM & WCFS-FM (WBBM Newsradio)/Chicago will host a live town hall this Thursday, Nov. 9 to explore those issues in-depth and discuss what’s at stake for businesses and community members as cities look to revitalize their downtown areas.

Audacy Conversations: The State of Downtown will air on WBBM Newsradio, KRLD-AM/Dallas, WWJ/Detroit, KNX/Los Angeles, WCBS 880/New York, KYW Newsradio/Philadelphia and KCBS-AM/San Francisco on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7pm local time. The feature will also air on WBEN-AM/Buffalo, WCCO/Minneapolis, WWL-AM & FM/New Orleans, KDKA/Pittsburgh and KMOX-AM/St. Louis, and will be available on demand via the Audacy app.

Throughout the week of Nov. 13-17, Audacy’s all-News stations will air special content catered to the town hall topics, including interviews, news stories and feature reporting. For more info, please visit audacy.com.

Details about future installments of the Audacy Conversations series will be made in the coming months.
