Toshamakia New MD of KS107.5/Denver
• Entercom makes it official and introduces Toshamakia Acevedo as the new Music Director and afternoon personality on Rhythmic KQKS (KS107.5)/Denver, starting Monday, July 30. She succeeds longtime KS107.5 fixture Michael “Big Mic” Buhrman, who recently earned a transfer to the PD post at sister KSFM/Sacramento. Toshamakia relocates to Denver from her current position doing afternoon drive on sister WJMH (102 Jamz)/Greensboro, but she’s already a familiar presence on KS107.5 — she’s been tracking the midday shift remotely since last August.
“We are excited to welcome Toshamakia to the Denver team,” said John Fullam, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Denver. “We believe her energy on-air and passion for being involved in the community will resonate a great deal with Denver music fans.”
Toshamakia started her career at WZMX (Hot 93.7)/Hartford in 2001. She later worked at Radio One’s former WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia and co-hosted Ladies First Radio with Monie Love on SiriusXM. “I’m very excited to continue my career within the Entercom family,” she said. “I’m looking forward to getting to know Denver and its listeners.”
