TT Torrez Awarded Middays At HOT 97

• MediaCo Hip Hop HQ WQHT (HOT 97)/New York keeps it in the family and appoints MD/VP of Artist & Label Relations TT Torrez as its new midday host, filling the vacancy created by Megan Ryte‘s February departure.

Tap In With TT debuts Thursday, April 27 at 10am ET and will also feature DJ Enuff and DJ Drewski. At noon, 25-year HOT 97 vet and hip hop legend DJ Enuff will host the It’s Enuff Midday Mix, an hour-long mix featuring the biggest hits in the culture, and at 2pm, DJ Drewski will close out the show with the New at 2 with Drewski, spotlighting the newest and most exciting emerging Hip Hop artists. “I’m fulfilling my dream as a voice of women in the culture, from the business side to on-air, which is especially poignant at a time when female hip hop artists have dominated the airwaves,” said Torrez. “As I move to the midday host, I will be sure to expand my role as a mentor and elevate other women in the industry.” Torrez’s ongoing support for women is reflected in the lineup of the 2023 HOT 97 Summer Jam on June 4, which features headliner Cardi B along with rising female artists Ice Spice, Lola Brooke, Coi Leray and GloRilla.
